Senior Citizen Thanksgiving

On Tuesday, November 24th, Alderman Matt O’Shea and the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences will provide 300 free, individually packaged Thanksgiving style meals to Senior Citizens (65 and older) living in the 19th Ward. No contact delivery will be made after 3:00pm on Tuesday, November 24th by a group of community volunteers. Meals will arrive cold and include re-heating instructions.

Meal requests will be taken on a first come, first served basis starting at 12:00pm on Friday, November 20th at Reservations will not be accepted by phone. Please note, orders are limited to one per person with a maximum of two per household. Unfortunately, we are not able to deliver to senior living communities at this time. The food will be prepared by students and chefs from Americanos, Horse Thief Hollow, Loquacious Catering and Smith Village. This effort is generously co-sponsored by Senator Bill Cunningham, State Representative Fran Hurley, and the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences.
