Block Party Permit:

The Block Party Permit can be filled out in person at the 19th Ward office or the online submission form at https://www.19thwardmobile.com/block-party-permit/. Your permit will be emailed to you. The Fire Department will be requested after the permit is accepted by CDOT . You will not receive confirmation of their attendance. This is a first come first serve basis and depends on their work load for the shift.

NOTE: To limit the spread of COVID-19, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), City of Chicago, and State of Illinois advise against large gatherings. In accordance with the guidance, CDOT will not issue Block Party permits until public health officials deem large gatherings to be safe. Please refer to the City of Chicago’s COVID-19 website (gov/coronavirus) for the latest updates on the response to COVID-19.
