Project Share the Warmth: Mitten Donations through December 17, 2021

Knitters at Smith Village joined a community challenge launched by 19th Ward Alderman Matt O’Shea and Kamaca Champion, owner of Miss Purl. All residents are invited to volunteer to make mittens for those in need this holiday season. Mitten kits are available for $15 at Miss Purl, or residents can make mittens with materials they have at home. A full schedule of free classes for those new to knitting is available at misspurlchicago.com. Mitten donations are due by December 17 at the 19th Ward office, Miss Purl or Smith Village.
