United States Postal Service Survey

The 19th Ward and the Beverly Area Planning Association are launching a survey to document neighbors experiences with mail service.  Please take a moment to complete that survey by clicking here.  The survey will be available until Tuesday, August 4th at 5:00pm; results will be shared with the United States Postal Service.

For the past several years, Senator Bill Cunningham, Representative Fran Hurley, Representative Kelly Burke and I have tried to work with the United States Postal Service to address poor service throughout the communities of Beverly, Morgan Park, and Mount Greenwood.  As service quality continues to decline, we co-signed a letter with Congressman Lipinski to the United States Postmaster General requesting an investigation into the matter.

Because the Post Office has failed to respond to Congressman Lipinski’s letter, our local elected officials have initiated this survey and will share the results with the Chicago Postmaster and the USPS Inspector General and  request an audit of the Morgan Park and Mount Greenwood Post Offices.  Moving forward, we will continue our work to address this issue and keep the public updated on our progress.
